"I don't like these. They are easy to use but don't allow for low volumes on dispersal. Other brands that I've used will disperse below the minimum volume range marked of the pipette, for instance the P200 of the Gilson M line has a range of 20-200uL but will disperse volumes of 5uL. The Transferpette p200 won't disperse amounts under 20uL, and the P1000 won't disperse under 100uL. We also experienced fairly meh customer service when trying to get a battery fixed/replaced. Ultimately we are looking for a replacement set of electronic repeat pipettors. "

Manufacturer's ResponseThank you for taking the time to review our Transferpette® electronic pipette. The lower end of the volume range of the instrument you purchased has been limited by design. The relative accuracy (% of volume dispensed) for air displacement pipettes from all manufacturers drops off significantly once the volume is set to less than 10% of the nominal (maximum) capacity of the pipette. For this reason, the lower ranges of the Transferpette® electronic pipettes are limited so the user is not given a false sense of accuracy. This is also why all manufactures offer pipettes in a wide variety of volume ranges. We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with the service you received. "Those electronic micropipettes are very reliable and economic. The price is comparable to the one of a manual micropipette and the reproducibility is unbeatable. I particularly like the design of the high volume tips (5-10 mL) that allow you to spike directly from a volumetric flask without pouring out the liquid"
