"The instrument is extremely easy to run and operate. The software is very user-friendly and intuitive. As an injectable pharmaceutical manufacturer, we test our WFI system daily for TOC. The Shimadzu TOC-V wp is a very robust and reliable instrument. We are able to accurately and repeatably measure below 90ppb, while our specified limit is 500 ppb. "This instrument has been in our lab for a very long time now and is still working excellently. According to the instructions you can measure total organic carbon, total non-purgeable carbon, total inorganic carbon and total carbon. We also have the total nitrogen attachment and an autosampler with it. We only use it for the dissolved forms of the above elements, but with an upgrade to larger tubes you could also use it for unfiltered and un-sieved water. The calibration curves are very stable and can be used for a long time after they have been entered which saves a lot of time. The catalysts can be regenerated through the computer programme. The use is very easy and it needs minimal maintenance and replacement. If something is wrong, we just ring our Shimadzu rep and he talks as through any issues most of the time. It is rare that he has to come to us to fix a problem. I would recommend this instrument to anyone as it is versatile and easy to use, and Shimadzu does a great job to keep it running. "
