With a 165 mm diameter active area and ultra-low noise levels, it is ideal for protein crystallography and other applications where collecting more data per frame is required.
All S2 detectors benefit from a unique, fully-automatic Intelligent Measurement System, including Smart Sensitivity Control (SSC) and flexible pixel binning. Similar to a digital camera’s ISO setting, SSC automatically adjusts signal amplification as needed to optimize measurement of observed data, providing a boost of up to 50% in detector sensitivity. Instant switching of the hardware binning mode allows you to maximize dynamic range for strong reflections, and maximize signal-to-noise for weak reflections.
