"The Q Exactive is an excellent system that generates reproducible, solid datasets. We use it in the lab to perform shotgun proteomic and metaproteomic analysis of biological specimens within various studies. It is simple to use and maintenance on the Q Exactive is usually straightforward when outlined in the manual. However, I wish there was more support from the manufacturer after purchase for various issues we've run into with bad parts."

"This instrument produces very reproducible mass measurements and flexible resolution from low 17,500 to high 70,000. Sensitivity is very good for metabolites and lipids.
