"Cell counter TC10 had to be repaired several times within a few years against high costs. Eventually had to be replaced."

"Fast, consistent but struggles with some cell types. Very easy to use. No need for cleaning haemocytometer."

"This counter uses disposable hemocytometer like slides for counting cells and has the option of counting trypan blue stained cells. I bought this counter after carefully comparing other similar bench top counters available in the market. We compared its accuracy by comparing the count with a hemocytometer and it came out very accurate. Overall its a valuable product. The pros are: Easy to use, accurate, smaller footprint and a colored screen. The cons are: Data storage, single use slides and inability to run without an external power source. A rechargeable battery would have been a great addition."

"It was great (quick counting) until it broke down less than 18 months after purchase. Overall it is poor quality for the price, our counter has never been moved, it has been used as described but still breaks down. Also the slides are quite expensive if you use the counter regularly. "

"A cell counter with disposable slides, it gives quick readings (viable vs. apoptotic cells) and automated calculation of dilutions. The after sales service has not been necessary so far."

"this is a very easy to use automated cell counter for routine cell culture. it is very accurate- much faster than counting cells with a hemacytometer."

Review date: 26 Jan 2011 | TC10 Automated Cell Counter (145–0001)
The TC10™ cell counter is an automated device that provides a total count of mammalian cells and a live/dead ratio in one simple step with accurate, reproducible results. The TC10 automated cell counter helps you avoid the tedious task of counting cells with a microscope and hemocytometer which produce varying results. The TC10 automated cell counter uses multifocal plane analysis to assess cell viability. And, it demonstrates accurate cell counts of viable cells and across a range of cell concentrations and cell sizes. Features include: Get accurate and consistent cell counts within 30 sec using the built–in auto–focus Use only 10 μl of suspended cells per sample Print count results and dilution calculations from the TC10 thermal label printer Transfer counts and cell images using a USB key and access up to 100 counts stored in the onboard memory Confirm instrument functionality with the TC10 verification slide
