"This counter uses disposable hemocytometer like slides for counting cells and has the option of counting trypan blue stained cells. I bought this counter after carefully comparing other similar bench top counters available in the market. We compared its accuracy by comparing the count with a hemocytometer and it came out very accurate. Overall its a valuable product. The pros are: Easy to use, accurate, smaller footprint and a colored screen. The cons are: Data storage, single use slides and inability to run without an external power source. A rechargeable battery would have been a great addition."

"It was great (quick counting) until it broke down less than 18 months after purchase. Overall it is poor quality for the price, our counter has never been moved, it has been used as described but still breaks down. Also the slides are quite expensive if you use the counter regularly. "
