"BioTek Synergy 2 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader is very effective for my application (in vitro reporter gene bioassays) and what is important, it has good price to performance ratio. The device is configurable - you can choose typical measurement options (luminescence, absorbance and fluorescence) as well as more specialized ones (BRET, FRET, Alpha Screening, TRF). So the reader covers broad range of applications. It is also upgradable - you can decide to add new modules in the future. It gives reproducible results, gives low limits of detection, works without any problems/errors. The software (Gen 5) is very intuitive, easy to learn and use, gives the possibility to collect and analyze the data. Moreover there is many measurement options (sensitivity and temperature setting, shaking) . The reader is appropriate for different microplates: 96- and 384-well plates. It could also be used in high throughput screening assays including 1536-well read mode."
