"The Sta-R evolution instruments were probably one of the best pieces of equipment that I purchased in my laboratory career. This machine is a work-horse. It is continually moving, incubating, and spitting out results in a pretty timely manner for a coagulase instrument. The maintenance is not too bad daily. The weekly maintenance is tedious; but, it is good because if done properly, your machines will last much longer than you realize. We purchased our two evolutions over 10 years ago. During those years, service has had to replace most of the inner workers; but, that just means your machine is practically brand new again. Are there some bad qualities. Of course. You have to make up the liquid reagents, let them sit for 60 minutes, then put them on. You have to add cuvette rolls which can be cumbersome for those not good at it. You have a conveyor system, so sometimes it gets jammed. But, every instrument has issues. This company was able to take the good qualities and make them shine. This coagulase analyzer is an amazing piece of equipment, making it well worth its cost."
