The solid phase extraction (SPE) workstation can be used on Xiril pipetting workstations for automated nucleic acid purification based on vacuum technology.
All pipetting steps of several different nucleic acid purification kits can be automated on a Xiril liquid handling workstation. Xiril’s very space saving SPE vacuum station comprises two positions, one in the front for washing steps and another in the back for the elution step. The filter plate is placed on a frame that is moved with a pipetting channel of the robot, from the wash to the elution position and backwards.
