"The SensiQ discovery is by far the cheapest SPR on the market. It has a dual channel system and comes with a KD scientific dual syringe pump. The software is pretty user friendly and the analysis software is quite good for measuring biological kinetic studies. However the chips that come with this machine are not very durable and the bare gold chips are difficult to customise. I have been trying to coat the chip with alkane thiols and find that the solvents used can degrade the cladding which attaches the gold slide to the sensor. The chips themselves aren't very durable and it is difficult to get a decent normalized signal. The syringe pump doesn't seem to be very accurate in the flow rate and there is no temperature control. There machine is also susceptible to air bubbles. Overall you get what you pay for with this machine. Should only be considered if your going to buy pre coated chips and if you plan to use it for routine analysis."
