Selector Diffuse Reflectance Accessory

Description

The Specac Selector™ is a flexible Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy (DRIFTS) Accessory for analysis of powdered and solid samples. In its standard configuration it allows ambient sample analysis, or it can be used with the Specac Selector™ Environmental Chamber option for vacuum, pressure, and temperature diffuse reflectance spectroscopic measurements. Samples can be either be run neat, or mixed into a sampling matrix (e.g. KBr).

Featuring an optimized off-axis optical configuration, the Specac Selector™ selectively collects diffuse reflected light whilst minimizing collection the specular component and reducing the associated spectral distortions. Various sample cups are provided including a standard 11 mm diameter cup, a micro 4 mm diameter cup, and tilted cups. In addition, an abrasive sampler can be used with Diabrase pads to sample intractable solids. The tilted cups add the versatility of using the Selector™ for the collection of total reflectance, if desired.
