Indexing according to SciFinder is an ABSURD for large portion of chemicals.
Application Area: Inoganic salts strycture and synthesis
"The effectiveness is zero! The indexing crew has no idea about chemistry and assumes that chemical reaction is just a mixture of components. They list wrong structures with wrong molecular weight! According to them, iron phosphate FePO4 with CAS # of 10045-86-0 and molecular formula of 150 is Fe.H3O4P with molecular weight of 153! and is just a mixture of phosphoric acid and iron iii. The same crazy formulas are used for most of the salts. It also includes other chemicals which are reaction products and not blends!!! According to SciFinder there is no difference between blend and reaction product! It is an absurd for such an institution to higher people who cannot distinguish between mixture and chemicals! No matter how easy the search is, if it finds absurd results it is useless! I raised my concerned with SciFinder by the reply was we are just doing it this way sorry you don’t like it."
