Great equipment, it is pity that this model is discontinued.
Application Area: Analysis of lytic activity of cytotoxic lymphocytes
"It helps us a lot in getting reproducible data on lytic activity of lymphocytes. It is easy to use. I like this format (well size)."

A great instrument that helps you in improving the quality of your experimental data
Application Area:Analyze the effects of different chemical compounds on cell growth, cell migration, cell viability,
"The setting up of the apparatus is not the easiest one, but the technical support team has been tremendous in helping us to overcome thiese difficulties."

Application Area:effects of compounds on cell viability
"It is easy to use, but less convenient than the xCELLigence software. The wireless iPad is a plus. The limitation of the number of samples is sometimes a problem for us. "

Application Area:Endothelial barrier function
"Perfect sized machine for typical research lab at reasonable price. Great improvement for analysis of endothelial barrier function compared to traditional Evans-blue dye in the transwell plates. Remarkable reproducibility between experiments. Two thumbs up."
Label-free, real-time cell analysis in a wireless format.
The RTCA iCELLigence™ instrument uses noninvasive electrical impedance monitoring to quantify cell proliferation, morphology change, and attachment quality in a label-free, real-time manner. The instrument is placed in a standard CO2 cell culture incubator where it transmits data wirelessly to the Control Unit (an iPad housed outside the incubator). User friendly software allows for real-time interfacing with two separate electronic 8-well plates, and includes real-time data display and analysis functions. The larger well size in these plates provides enough cells for complementary assays including western blotting, sequencing analyses, FACS, imaging, etc.
By skipping the guesswork associated with end-point assays and eliminating the time- and labor-intensive steps of traditional techniques, real-time cell analysis (RTCA) with the iCELLigence™ vastly improves efficiency and overall productivity. It is currently being used worldwide in industrial and academic labs in applications that include, but are not limited to, the following:
