Description
The future of real-time genetic analysis starts with the Rotor-Gene™ 6000 series open chemistry platform.
Versatility: The world’s first instrument for quantitative real-time amplification that’s also capable of end-point analysis, nucleic acid concentration measurement and now HRM (high resolution melt).
Performance: A fixed optical path, rotary mechanism and fast data acquisition rate provides unparalleled performance. For example, a thermal uniformity of ±0.01°C and resolution of 0.02°C makes the Rotor-Gene™6000 the only real-time amplification system with the technical prowess to support true HRM Analysis.
HRM: HRM Analysis is an exciting new technology with broad application for fragment analysis, mutation screening/discovery and SNP analysis using only dyes (no probes).
Flexibility: Five different configurations are available to work with dyes and reagent kits covering the entire spectrum, from infra-red to UV with up to 6-plex capability.
Workflow: 0.2 mL tubes, 0.1 mL tubes and the 72-well Gene-Disc™ are available to support the novice through to expert. In addition, a Gene-Disc™ 100 well rotor will be available soon to support 96 sample workflow plus additional space for controls.
Fast Amplification: To maximise throughput, a 40-cycle reaction can be completed in about 40 minutes.
Software: Hailed as the best real-time software ever by users, it comes with an unlimited user licence, full range of data analysis options and regular free upgrades.
Economical: Reduce your costs in several ways: use lower volume reactions (10-20 µL), use half the probe per reaction (due to high sensitivity optics) and now SNP genotyping using only dyes (with HRM technology).

"We replaced our MyIQ real time PCR machine for the Corbett Rotor-Gene 6000 system and I've never got more consistent results. The rotary action means you no longer need a plate spinner to collect your sample after mixing on plate-based systems. Reactions based on a 10ul volume work consistently. The small PCR tubes take some getting used to, but our system came with a purpose built cooling block for sample loading. We regularly use SYBR green and TaqMan probes on this system and they work great. Even the software that comes with it is excellent and easy to use. Overall a great product." |
