Great integrity of the sample, the best in isolation RNA kits

"The kit is very easy to use, doesn't require other reagents additional, and is very fast, in around one hour you could get your RNA isolate, the lab equipment used it's only a centrifuge, the concentration is good, and the integrity of the sample makes it worth every penny of the kit price. It is wonderful not to have to prepare more reagents to isolate RNA, In eight simple steps, you can already have your RNA. The extraction of RNA can often be a headache, and prolonged exposure to solvents used in RNA extraction can be detrimental to health, use of this kit definitely minimizes exposure to these solvents, and avoids handling errors and any student with basic training can get very good results. The results of this protocol are highly reproducible."

"It's certainly not the cheapest option, but for a standard price, is a very reliable kit. You have mini and midi and macro option depending on the amount of RNA to be extracted. Columns, buffers and collection tubes come with the kit. For any other cheaper kit, I would certainly consider its quality, amount on time on business, etc. Qiagen is a very reliable vendor. Be aware of compatibility with cDNA synthesis kits. I have tried this kit with a lot of different brands and never had a problem. Cannot say the same about other brands."

"For most applications RNA isolation yielded a large amount of high quality RNA as long as kit recommendations were followed, such as accurate starting amount, etc. A related product the fibrous tissue kit is definitely needed for fibrous tissues, such as heart, to yield equal amounts. "RNA quality is very good and clean. One column DNAse digestion is required if the PCR product does not have introns in it when doing RT-PCR. This must be due to some genomic DNA contamination. Alternatively, use primers spanning exon-exon boundaries and skip the DNAse treatment."

"This is a very easy to use RNA purification kit, however, when purifying RNA from brain samples, you are likely to receive high contamination of your sample (read at 220-230mm wavelength). To overcome this problem, one needs to add washes at a higher volume then recommended in the protocol, and keep your samples off ice at all steps of the procedure. "
