Andor is delighted to introduce the Revolution® DSD, an innovative white light confocal spinning disk based on ‘aperture correlation’.
Unlike other white light confocal instruments, the DSD (differential spinning disk) achieves a high degree of optical sectioning by active background rejection. This technique ensures that the DSD delivers high contrast, low background images with objective magnifications from 10x to 100x, using air water or oil immersion lenses, making it suitable for a wide range of live cell and developmental applications.
Andor has designed the Revolution® DSD white light confocal microscopy system with our best in class interline CCD camera, Clara, new DC-stabilized metal halide source and Andor iQ workstation with optional Piezo Z stages. These components are integrated seamlessly to perform 5D and 6D imaging and the system can be fitted to all makes and models of inverted and upright microscopes.
