This toolkit of alternative Flash media provides faster, cleaner separations by eliminating common problems encountered  in normal-phase purification of basic compounds.

The Redisep Basic Compound Purification Kit includes:

• One RediSep 8 gram Basic Alumina column and 30 Basic Alumina TLC plates
• One RediSep 5 gram Cyano column and 30 Cyano TLC plates
• One RediSep 4.7 gram Amine column and 30 Amine TLC plates
• One RediSep 5 gram SCX column

By using these alternative media, drug discovery researchers can avoid time-consuming extra steps in the purification of high-pKa compounds such as amines and nitrogen-containing heterocycles: Peak streaking and tailing, resulting in multiple fractions and overlapping fractions during chromatographic purification. Time-consuming extra steps to remove residues of non-volatile mobile-phase modifiers (TEA or NH 4 OH) remaining in the sample after evaporation of the DCM and methanol chromatography solvents.

Additional time spent swapping and priming the solvents on the flash chromatography system – typically to change from a hexane/ethyl acetate to a dichloromethane/ methanol solvent system.
