"Ready Gel precast gels are designed for the traditional 8 x 10 cm mini vertical format. Proteins and nucleic acids can be separated by electrophoresis on Ready Gel precast gels using the Mini-PROTEAN Tetra electrophoresis cell (1–4 gels) or, for high-throughput applications, the Mini-PROTEAN 3 Dodeca™ cell (1–12 gels).


The individually packaged gels are available in gradients. Excellent resolution. Convenient and reliable. Reproducible results with almost all proteins.

"We use BioRad 1D and 2D gel formats for our protein and peptide analysis. The results are consistently good and of higher resolution than other gels. We use 8-16% Tris-HCl for SDS PAGE and two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and 18% Tris-HCl for peptides with unprecedented reproducibility. Gradients are always uniform laterally across the gel so that it is possible to reliably differentiate very minor MW differences between proteins."
