"Excellent instrument! Produces very good data and has a lot of flexibility for method creation and high resolution runs. It's easy to calibrate the weight, and the temperature calibration typically goes well but can sometimes require a rerun. Downside is that the hang down wire is very picky and hard to install. If it gets bent at all it often has trouble picking up pans. The thermocouple never seems to have a very long life. The analysis software is pretty easy to use as well, I thought it was very intuitive. Some of the higher level functions are not but you can typically find information in the help manual."

"This instrument comes with an auto sampler and a special software to do lifetime studies. Can be sued to determine amount of carbon black in black products. Highly reproducible and cost effective."

"This TGA from TA is a user friendly product. It is easy to operate and maintain. The software is also easy to use. You can set up a sequence, tare the pans and have the samples run overnight. Depending on the type of sample and sample size, you can select different type of pans. The method is easy to set up as well. In terms of calibration, the instrument can be easily calibrated with several types of standards. In the time frame we have had the instrument; we have not had any major problems. It uses a microbalance and is very susceptible to nearby vibration and this could fluctuate the weight. Overall, I highly recommend this product for the ease of use and durability."
