They are the perfect replacement for rotary vane pumps in applications where a variety of corrosive vapors are found. Equipped with sturdy, multi-port valves of FFPM elastomer, these pumps tolerate ingestion of occasional liquids without damaging or degrading performance. The thick, heads made of solid PTFE resin will not peel or corrode when exposed to most solvents.
You should consider the boiling point of the solvent in use and the volume of solvent to be distilled when selecting a KNF vacuum pump. For applications involving a high volume of condensable vapors, consider pumps equipped with the PowerDry® self-cleaning option below.
