Complex data analysis within hours.
Application Area: Metabolomics in biological samples
"Easy to use program. The workflow is a straightforward procedure where program guides allow to apply and review each step of your analysis. Also, identification tools work fine with complex data."

We are very satisfied with Progenesis QI for protein profiling experiments.
Application Area:Protein identification and quantification
"I am a long term Progenesis QI for Proteomics user and find it easy to use and adjust to my protein profiling conditions. We did not have many technical problems with this program but each time we encountered them they were solved with the assistance of the tech support team, although there was a certain delay due to a time difference between USA and UK. Value is reasonable but on the expensive side, so we have only one license and can't do things in parallel on several workstations."

It is very easy to use, result data set can be extracted for other statistics packages.
Application Area:Metabolomics, multivariate analysis for LC-MS data
"It is an all in one product for metabolomics study. It would be great if the add-on feature EZ-info was included in the licence. The OPLS-DA provided by EZ-info is very useful for discrimination analysis. The advantage of Progenesis QI itself is the compatibility, as it accepts all formate of LC-MS files. The interactive PCA plot and peak list are very intuitive. The price is really high so few institute can afford it."

Great tool but needs improvements.
Application Area:Food, wine and plant untargeted metabolomics analysis
"Pros: 1. Easy to use; 2. Very user friendly; 3. Fast; 4. Effective; 5. Possible to use during the analysis; 6. Include all necessary tools. 7. I like the annotation tools; 8. I like the filtration/tag tool Cons: 1. Expensive to buy; 2. Expensive to maintain; 3. QCs are recognized as normal samples (for the anova analysis this creates problems); 4. The PCA plots are not editable and easy to export for publications; 5, Is not posible to add tags to PCA; 6. No 3D PCA; 7. No heat maps."

It is wonderful to get the metabolomics data with Progensis QI.
Application Area:Metabolomic for cell, media and others
"We aim to support companies and colleges for a broad range of drug development. Recently, ther were a lot of request to support metabolomics data for media and production cells. Thus, we purchased Progensis QI and have used it for those aims. therer are several adavantages for us. 1. It is very easy to use due to stepwise interface. We just follow the process provided by the manufacturer and easily get the results. 2. It is wonderful to get the statistical data. We do not have much knowledge of statistics, but it supports a lot of statistical data easily."

A great product, but I could get more out of it with better interactive instructions.
Application Area:Metabolomics in biolofluids as an intermediate biomarker of cancer risk
"I would like a more complete user guide that includes things like how to determine what kind of scaling is most appropriate for my data, whether or not my OPLS-DA plot score is acceptable (with references supporting cut-points), what score on the S-plot is acceptable (with references), and exactly how to do things like a test set and a training set . . . I know it is possible, but I haven't seen instructions. I really like all the plots, and how easy it is to edit them. The software gets 5/5 for the plots."

I am fan of this tool. I prefer Progenesis over all other software .
Application Area:Metabolomics data processing and identification
"Amazing tool for metabolimics data analysis. The best feature is statistics and database search options. However, feature selection needs improvement. In my opinion, adding number of scans in features detection will dramatically improve the performance. Removing feature present in blank runs should also be included. Software picks a lot of noise as compared to real signals. This should be improved. Adduct grouping is also one of the issues I have observed. Database search options are ultimately a feature of this software. There should be a tab to calculate correlation coefficient for different dilution of samples. This would help in detecting real peaks from noise. %CV option is very helpful at the moment."

It is okay!

"The software can't process data that is acquired in both positive/negative mode. Annotation tools are limited to a few options, which does not include in-silico fragmentation. Training videos/tutorials are still missing."

The best metabolomics software on the market, but quite expensive.
Application Area:Biomarker discovery, metabolomics
"We have tried more than half a dozen applications for untargeted mass spec analysis, and QI is by far the fastest, most powerful, and most stable. Unfortunately it is very expensive."

I like progenesis QI !
Application Area:Analysis of small molecules in complex matrices
"Progenesis QI is a very good software for people wanting to find differentially expressed small molecules using LC-MS. The workflow is very easy to understand for non-MS specialist and it's very easy to obtain meaningful data in particular since the implementation of MS/MS database like METLIN."

Great software and we obtain great support when we needed it
Application Area:Plant Metabolomics
"I think it’s a great product for someone wanting to obtain quick results after injecting hundreds of samples a week. Progenesis QI for small molecules is very friendly and easy to use once you get familiar with the software. The challenge is to create your one database focused in your area of research. Reviewing your compounds and the statistics is also very helpful when you want to present your results in an easy way."

Progenesis QI is very helpful software for metabolomics and lipidomics study.
Application Area:Metabolomics and lipidomics study
"Progenesis QI, a powerful software for metabolomics study, is very convenient and easy control. Although expensive, it’s worth the money, we have done a project with 1000 samples. The identification of metabolites, which is the bottlenecks of metabolomics and lipidomics study, have improved a lot in QI. I'm really looking forward to the constantly development of Progenesis QI. The conversion of several raw spectral files into a data matrix is usually difficult and a time consuming task. Progenesis QI changed all that at our institution.
Application Area:Untargeted and semi-targeted metabolomics
"The conversion of several raw spectral files into a data matrix is usually difficult and a time consuming task. Progenesis QI changed all that at our institution. The ability of the program to handle more than one “recording” channel and its use of in silico fragmentation are key features that we cannot go without."
