Polymer production requires high-purity (99.9+%) monomers. Ethylene and propylene are common feedstocks but often contain low levels of other hydrocarbons, sulfur compounds, and additional impurities that can reduce catalyst lifetime, affect product quality, and impact yields. Agilent provides factory-tested, ready-to-use GC analyzers for the analysis of impurities in ethylene and propylene samples using FPD, FID, PDHID, and MS detectors.
