The CytoTrap two-hybrid system is based upon generating fusion proteins whose interaction in the yeast cytoplasm activates the Ras-signaling pathway. The CytoTrap system enables the study of protein interactions that cannot be assayed by conventional two-hybrid or interaction trap systems.
