"We recently purchased a 100 x 2.1 mm (3 um) column for evaluation. Delivery was prompt and local support available at all times. A method to separate green tea catechins on UPLC had to be transferred to HPLC with both UV and MS detection. This column does not react as other phenyl or hexyl-phenyl columns by giving the best separation using methanol and water (0.1% (v/v) formic acid). This type of mobile phase usually gives good separation and peak shape but did not work for this column chemistry. Replacing the methanol with acetonitrile, using the same shallow gradient profile as before, excellent separation was obtained between all the compounds. What is truly remarkable is that this column could handle massive concentration differences without distorting peak shapes or loss of resolution. The column was very easy to use, equilibrated fast and gave low back pressures at 40 deg. Celsius. Reproducibility inter- and intra-day was excellent. A great column I would love in UPLC fo"
