The PikoReal Real-Time PCR System is light, quiet and has the smallest footprint in the market, thereby making it ideal for personal use. The system is available in two different configurations: PikoReal 24-well system for use with 24-well Piko PCR Plates and standard 8-well strips, and PikoReal 96-well system for use with 96-well Piko PCR plates. Piko PCR Plates are only 1/4 the size of a conventional microplate, but they still maintain industry standard spacing and sample capacity. They are compatible with standard multichannel pipettes, reagent dispensers and automated liquid handling systems. Due to its small size, extremely low energy consumption and durable design, PikoReal is also suitable for field applications.

Superior thermal performance

The unique block design (patent pending) of PikoReal system combined with precise temperature control brings confidence to your qPCR. The superior thermal performance ensures that your quantification results are reliable and reproducible. Five optical channels facilitate multiplexing.

Stand-alone or PC control

PikoReal qPCR system is controlled by PikoReal software, which allows you to remotely monitor any qPCR experiment on-line from your own computer. Alternatively, you can save the qPCR protocol on a USB stick and load it on to the PikoReal instrument for stand-alone use. PikoReal software include modules for absolute and relative quantification, melting curve analysis, allelic discrimination and High Resolution Melting (HRM). Advanced algorithms provide effortless data normalization without the need for an external reference dye.

Reduced plastic and reagent consumption

The unique design of the heating block and the small plate format allow significant savings both in plastics and reagent consumption. This reduces costs of your research and produces less plastic waste.
