By fusing a particular double-stranded DNA binding domain to the polymerase, its processivity can be increased 10-fold. The processivity of Phusion DNA Polymerase is 10-fold greater than that Pyrococcus furiosus DNA polymerase and twice that of Thermus aquaticus DNA polymerase.
