Transparent strips make work easier and can be tailored to individual needs
As with all Merck pH indicator strips and papers, the new pH strips can be tailored to individual customer needs – from personalized label designs and special production runs to promotional applications and product support. Available in packs of 100 or individually sealed, these pH indicator strips are suitable for a range of applications in agriculture, forestry, the food and beverages industry, and the chemical industry – as well as being ideal for environmental analysis.
The pH reaction zone is backed by a transparent carrier film – so users can wipe off accumulated material and read the pH easily without damaging the strip, even in suspensions and precipitates. If the reaction zone is obscured by particulate matter, users can simply evaluate the color on the reverse of the carrier film.
The strips cover a pH range from 2 to 9 in easily distinguishable graduations of 1 pH unit. And as the indicator is chemically bonded to the cellulose backing, the strips do not bleed and contaminate the testing material – unlike conventional indicator papers. This means the pH indicator strips can remain in the testing medium indefinitely – making measurements highly accurate, even in weakly buffered solutions.
