Permount™ Mounting Medium is a synthetic resin dissolved in toluene for use in mounting slides following colorimetric histologic staining. Its low viscosity and similar refractive index to proteins allows for a thin, bubble-free layer, and upon drying provides maximal optical clarity and minimal optical imperfections. Permount™ preserves the color of most biological dyes. Mounted slides should be stored in the dark to reduce fading and to ensure optimal retention of signal during long-term storage. This medium is supplied as a 1X stock solution.
