"The Pegasus Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) combines the analytical chemistry technique of gas chromatography (GC) with the mass analysis capabilities of mass spectrometry (MS). A gas sample is first injected into the GC, which is equipped with a capillary column that separates the different compounds within the sample. As the different molecules elute from the column at different times, they then enter the MS, which captures, ionizes, accelerates, deflects, and detects the ionized molecules separately. These two components (GC and MS) cannot be used to accurately identify compounds when used separately, but when used in conjunction, they allow for a sensitive degree of compound identification. The Pegasus HT CGMS performed excellently compared to other models and we give full marks to the super piece of equipment."

"Just upgraded our Pegasus TOF GCMS to a HT TOF. Excellent service after the sale of the upgrade. Easy to use system. Have never had to clean the source. Software is awesome with a database structure. Excellent sensitivity with a PTV injector."
