Application Area: Proteins Crystallization And Solubility
"PEG ION SCREEN 1 and 2 formulated by Hampton Research are good for screening the initial crystallization. It is also useful for finding a good solubility solution for the protein of interest. The two screens together contain 96 solutions with different concentration of salts and also with varying pHs. The PEG ION SCREEN 1 contains PEG 3350 and salts, The pH of which has not been adjusted. PEG ION SCREEN 2 contains PEG 3350 and salts the pH of which have been adjusted (3-8.5). Besides crystallization these screen provide an excellent opportunity to find a good buffer for the protein of interest. I recommend these screens to be used for both crystallization and checking solubility of the protein of interest."
