Lightweight and easy to install, the Parsum IPP 70-SL probe, comes in lengths up to 4m and delivers in situ, real-time size and velocity measurements for solid particles up to 6000µm in size.

Dustproof and waterproof, the probe is inserted directly into the vessel with no requirement for sampling or calibration. It provides continuous process monitoring at high and fluctuating solids loadings, even for abrasive, greasy or sticky particles.

The Parsum IPP 70-SL probe uses the well-established measurement principle of spatial filter velocimetry. No calibration or sampling is required and there is no assumption that the particles are spherical.
Spatial filter velocimetry is a number-based, chord length sizing method that collects data for individual particles to develop a particle size distribution.

The Parsum IPP 70-SL is a longer version of the standard instrument option, up to 4m length, that is used in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries for endpoint detection, process control/optimization and real-time QC. The probe is inserted directly into large vessels to monitor unit operations such as grinding, agglomeration, granulation, sieving and spray drying.
