"I haven't used the machine that much yet but my first impressions regarding ease of use and after sale care are good."

Application Area:Luciferase Assay on breast cancer cells after their exposure to different chemicals
"We used the Orion II Microplate Luminometer for single read-only measurements of our luciferase assay, due to the needs of the commercial kit we were using. However, the Orion II Luminometer can perform assays using the full injection system, which is a great plus of this machine! As the machine is not owned by our laboratory I do not really now if it is cost-effective. However, the people from Berthold Detection Systems were very helpful and quick in replying to our questions."

Application Area:We use this luminometer for routine Luciferase assays
"We have been using Berthold Luminometers successfully for many years and, once the previous equipment (Orion-I) required updating we were offered this new version. This new machine is even simpler, more robust, very easy to learn and very comfortable to use. A most satisfactory purchase for our department, and an excellent customer support from origin."

"Very robust and reliable instrument. This is one of the few luminometers that can accurately measure flash luminescence because it can inject reagents and measure simultaneously. We have used the Orion II routinely for immunoassay and molecular tests using acridinium ester chemiluminescence and have never had a problem."
Orion II is a state-of-the-art instrument offering complete configuration flexibility. It features high sensitivity thanks to highly efficient optics and photon counting mode. Reagents can be connected easily, and the low dead volume (only 450 µL) saves costly reagents. Orion II can be equipped with up to four reagent injectors and temperature control up to 50°C. Double Injection Design (DID) allows parallel processing of samples and saves valuable assay time.
