NUCLEODUR® C18 Gravity

Description

MACHEREY-NAGEL launches a new generation of high performance reversed phase LC columns.

The NUCLEODUR® C18 Gravity is based on the new ultrapure NUCLEODUR® synthetic silica. A unique derivatization process generates a homogeneous surface with a high density of bonded silanes, and is then followed by thorough endcapping procedures. Thus any undesirable interactions between the silica surface and the sample molecules are successfully suppressed, which makes this column particularly suitable for the separation of basic drugs and other ionizable analytes.

A second feature worth emphasizing is the enhanced pH stability of the NUCLEODUR® C18 Gravity. Its novel surface bonding technology and the low concentration of metal impurities make it possible to run the column at an extended pH working range (from pH 1 – 11). This is especially useful in method development, e.g. for achieving better retention of basic compounds at higher pH values, when conventional silica based columns would begin to deteriorate.

The NUCLEODUR® C18 Gravity is available in 3 and 5 µm particle size and in most customary column lengths with inner diameters from 0.3 mm up to 4.6 mm.

Key features:

  • ultrapure NUCLEODUR® synthetic silica.
  • high density of bonded silanes, thorough endcapping procedures.
  • suitable for the separation of basic drugs and other ionizable analytes.
  • enhanced pH stability, working range from pH 1 – 11.
  • available in 3 and 5 µm particle size and most common column lengths, inner diameters from 0.3 mm to 4.6 mm.
