"We irregularly do fluorescence microscopy and so the amazing features of the nuance at this stage are underutilized. Once a user gets a handle on the system the ease of use shoots right up, but the initial learning curve can be steep without a dedicated expert on hand. Not to say the training they provide is not excellent, but with any specialized system it may be overkill for a lab wanting occasional use. But if you are doing histology or other systems where cell identification is a regular use - this is the system for you!"

Adding Nuance® to your lab is a simple, cost-effective means of upgrading your microscope to a powerful multispectral imaging system. Multiplexed labeling can now be achieved while retaining intact morphology, so highly informative spatial information is maintained. The Nuance system enables imaging of multiple molecular markers in tissue sections for both fluorescence and brightfield, even when they are co-localized. Nuance can also eliminate problems stemming from the presence of autofluorescence, and can pull apparently absent signals out of the noise, making them visible and quantitatable. Increase the signal-to-noise of your fluorophores, gaining access to information you can’t get any other way.
Nuance EX Multispectral Tissue Imaging System
Visible to near-infrared multispectral microscopy. The Nuance® EX multispectral imaging system is ideal for looking at modern fluorophores that emit in the near-infrared. It is also the perfect companion system for validating results generated on Revvity’s Maestro systems. Research experiments performed in the near-infrared can reduce the effect of fluorescent artifacts. The system utilizes an optimized, high-throughput tunable filter that is electronically switchable to maximize either sensitivity or throughput at both visible and near-infrared wavelengths. Nuance acquisition software incorporates easy to use tools for building custom spectral libraries, as well as powerful unmixing and analysis algorithms allowing spectral characterization and quantitation for each of the multi-labeled components in an image. inForm advanced image analysis software is also an available option for rapid analysis of targeted tissues and batch processing of user-specified regions across multiple images.
