The Newton CCD camera is ideally suited to high-performance spectroscopic applications. The high-resolution sensors deliver up to 95% QE. Combined with Andor Technology’s low noise electronics, it provides convenient multi-Megahertz readout and USB connectivity. The camera utilizes a 1024 x 255 array of 26μm² pixels with thermoelectric cooling down to -100°C resulting in negligible dark current. The system offers the best performance for a wide range of spectroscopic applicatio... Read more

Excellent results, we are very pleased with this CCD camera purchase.

  • Application Area: Spectral measurements in multi-channel mode in which all spectral range is accumulated simultaneousl

"Spectroscopic characterization of the building blocks of plasmonic photovoltaic cells (namely, metal nanoparticles, nanowires, semiconductor islands at the surface) is important for their characterization and prediction of device performance. However, optical spectroscopy of nanostructures is a challenging task. Alignment of light collection system is sensitive to mechanical instability and thermal drifts, especially in the case of single particle spectroscopy. In addition, optical characteristics of nanostructures can change under irradiation. Thus, spectral measurements of nanostructured metal/semiconductor structures being studied in the framework of our projects have to be performed in multi-channel mode in which all spectral range is accumulated simultaneously. CCD camera, Model: Newton DU920P-BU2 produced by Andor Technology Ltd.,UK solves the problem of multi-channel spectroscopy with high efficiency."
