Features of the Drummond Scientific Nanoject II Auto-Nanoliter Injector include:
• Automated Microprocessor controlled Microinjection Pipet delivering precise nanoliter volumes accurately
• Remote control and nonrotating plunger eliminates vibration allowing precise injection minimizing possible cell rupture from microinjector
• Selectable Injection Volumes: from 2.3 nanoliters to 69.0 nanoliters in 16 increments
• Supplied with sufficient N-51-A glass capillaries for preparing 400 injection tips, standard softening point 780°C
• Can be mounted on most micromanipulators (Note: May require Universal Adapter 3-000-024-A.
The Universal Adapter is now included with the Nanoject)
• Separate Foot Switch available to allow hands-free operation
• Selectable Operating Speeds:
Fill Speed Fast: 46 nL per second, Slow: 23 nL per second

"Nanoject is used for the delivery of RNA molecules or anti-sense morpholino molecules to frog embryos. Sample loading to the glass pipette requires back-filling of oil, which easily cause leaks. Furthermore, fixed amounts of injection volume are difficult to achieve."   |
