The TA Instruments MC DSC is a versatile, multi-purpose calorimeter with microwatt sensitivity for continuous temperature-scanning, step-scanning and isothermal measurements of thermodynamics and kinetics. Compared with conventional DSC, the larger sample capacity improves the accuracy of heat capacity determinations, increases the ability to detect processes with small heat effects, and makes possible studies of reactions of solutes in dilute solution. The short equilibration time permits faster measurements and more rapid temperature changes than is possible with isothermal calorimeters. The wide-mouth, removable ampoules allow study of materials that are physically not compatible with other calorimeters.
