(1986) Methods of Enzymology, 119, 14-23] and the World Health Organization. Results are normally provided 2-3 weeks after receipt of samples, although assay times may vary.

The bioactivity of mouse interferon alpha is measured using mouse fibroblast cells (L929) challenged with encephalomyocarditis (EMCV). Assay Sensitivity: 15-30 u/ml. Standard for Mouse IFN alpha (NIH reference: Ga02-901-511).
