Once hit compounds have been identified, picking them out of a whole range of assay plates can be slow and difficult. TTP LabTech’s mosquito® X1 offers true walk-away cherry picking of hit samples with an attractive throughput. mosquito® X1 enables precision sampling from any individual well in any type of plate. Researchers can quickly select nanolitre quantities of hits from primary screening plates and transfer them directly to the next stage without further dilution. mosquito® X1’s disposable pipettes guarantee zero cross-contamination, and ensure accurate and reproducible pipetting throughout the 25 nL -1.2 μL range.
mosquito® X1 and a third party plate stacker can be easily integrated into a larger screening system using TTP LabTech’s CherryPicker software. The CherryPicker software automatically converts pick lists provided by a LIMS system or database into optimised mosquito protocols, then manages the run. This allows the mosquito® X1 to work unattended for extended periods. Barcoded plates of any format can be stacked in any order in the plate stacker. As a plate is loaded, the barcode is read and the correct transfers for that plate are carried out. Additional plates are easy to load and process.
