Great small gel kit with quick running time and low buffer usage.
Application Area: DNA electrophoresis
"Great little DNA gel electrophoresis for fast runs using a very little buffer. Comes as a full kit including some combs. The gel is poured within the gel tray which can be used in a transilluminator (UV or blue light). Run time is 20-30mins for half gel using 40ml buffer and 50ml gel. For max 20 samples per comb, the samples can be added with a multichannel. The only negative is that I needed to replace the leads on one lid, and these are not listed on the website."

Buffer and gel volumes have been kept to a minimum and the parallel electrode arrangement allows ultra efficient current transfer, enabling resolution to be completed within 30 minutes. The UV transparent base allows direct viewing on a UV Transilluminator with no need for time consuming transfer and potential gel damage. Dual comb slots allow the loading of up to 40 samples per gel while multichannel pipette compatible combs further enhance the speed and convenience.
The miniRapide is sold complete with a UV tray (10x8 cm), 2 x 8 sample combs and casting dams.
