"The Millipore Milli-Q Direct 8 was purchased to replace the Barnstead still that was used to make water for BOD analysis. Due to the amount of deionized water that was wasted during the distillation process, we were constantly changing out the carbon filters and cartridges on the DI system. This was extremely costly.
