"The Millipore Milli-Q Direct 8 was purchased to replace the Barnstead still that was used to make water for BOD analysis. Due to the amount of deionized water that was wasted during the distillation process, we were constantly changing out the carbon filters and cartridges on the DI system. This was extremely costly. The Milli-Q Direct 8 converts our tap water into Type I water with no water wasted. To date, there has been no problem with the BOD testing and we have experienced significant monetary savings."

"We use Milli-Q in diverse fields of our research. Purified water from Milli-Q is an essential part mobile phase in chromatography. In fact, we always call them Milli-Q water. It is the maximum possible quality water we can get in our lab. Though we feel little painful to change those expensive cartridges, they deserve a pricey tag for their great performance. "

"This water purification system from Millipore is very convenient to use, looks very neat and produces water that is pure or clean enough for use in almost every bioanalytical assays in the lab. So far, the water coming out from this purifier doesn't introduce any contaminants that are significant to alter the experimental data. After sales is good too because they immediately responded to our call when the purifier had a leak and fixed it right away."

Millipore designed the Milli-Q Direct system to address the needs of scientists who want to get access to both pure and ultrapure water, directly from tap water.

The pure water produced by the Reverse Osmosis is stored in a tank designed to minimize risks of contamination during water storage. Millipore tanks level sensor will allow the systems to automatically start or stop producing water when you want it, display accurately on the systems screen the water level in the tank and have safety devices preventing overflow or system running dry.

From that reservoir, water can be sourced though a front valve or sent by a delivery pump to feed instruments such as a glassware washing machine, or further processed by the Milli-Q Direct to produce ultrapure (type1) water.

From pure water, the Milli-Q Direct produces ultrapure water adapted to your specific applications and exceeding the requirements of the most demanding norms.
