The MicroCaster System is a 8-pin manual arrayer for creating high quality microarrays.

Up to 768 spots can be placed on one slide, with a processing time of 5-20 minutes per slide. This system allows the convenience of printing microarrays anytime, without extensive set-up time required, and without the need for expensive robotic and scanning equipment.

It can be used with the CAST Slide Microhybridization Kit for even more convenience and reproducibility.


Index system provides excellent reproducibility

A special index system for 96 well source plates allows exactpositioning of the spots, simplifying the arraying process, and making duplication of slides very easy. The index system can hold two slides for arraying at one time. Also included in the MicroCaster System is a conditioner for pin washing, to avoid contamination and sample carry-over.

Ideal and convenient for microarraying

The MicroCaster is designed for use with the CAST Slides, which can be detected using radioactivity or chemiluminescence. The system provides an economical means of microarraying and is ideal for labs without access to expensive robotic arrayers and fluorescent scanners.
