Very useful, user friendly and small!
Application Area:Molecular assays
"This product is amazing! Very useful in the lab for almost everything we need to do. Also, it is user friendly and very very easy to deal with. All labs should have one, as it is efficient for its purpose, useful for most analysis and does not need too much space on the bench (you can even transfer it wherever you need it!). I definetely recommend it!"

Great Instrument.
Application Area:Teaching Laboratory
"We purchased our MiniSpin some years ago. The MiniSpin serves us well in our teaching lab. We use a lot of them and they are easy for the students to use. They are a good size for the number of samples we use."

Smooth and easy.
Application Area:Molecular research
"It's easy to use, its very smooth when running and I have not had any issues with it. It's portable and does not use up too much space. One gets nice pellets and always a great yield of cells."

Convenient.
Application Area:Centrifuge
"The appearance of MiniSpin was nice and it doesn't take up much space. It's settings are simple and very easy to use. In addition, our lab can place it in a chiller to use as chilled centrifuge. So far I've found the MiniSpin very convenient and even a beginner wouldl know how to use it."

Good product, but bad quality and after sales services.
Application Area:Separate insoluble substances from solutions
"The product no doubt is good, but I am very upset by the quality of the material used. In less than a year’s time the interior has corroded, and we don't use any corrosive substances in the centrifuge. After sales service could not solve the problem and no compensations were also assured."
Manufacturer's Response"The inner lid of the MiniSpin® now has an improved coating, which is resistant to substances like chaotrophic salts that are used in nucleic acid kits. Corrosion is no longer an issue."

Not the best option if you want a heavy duty/long-term centrifuge
Application Area:Any kind of centrifuging work, we mainly use it for cells.
"Eppendorf centrifuges are really good in general, like the 5702 series, they are really tough and solid. However, the MiniSpin is definitely not the best option, is quite cheap but it will have some problems after some time. The lid on this centrifuge presents malfunctioning with regularity. I have been in three different labs and in all of them the lid of this centrifuge seems to have some kind of problems, leading to the bigger issue of not being able to centrifuge until it gets fixed. It will need a lot more maintenance than a 5702 one. So I would recommend to buy a centrifuge which is a little more expensive but it will need less money in maintenance and fixing. "

"Easy to use and programme. It is possible to cool samples up to 4 C. The centrifuge is stable even if not loaded properly. Occasionaly we have problems with the electronics which requires re-programming."
