• Biological acute or culture preparations are placed directly into the MED64 multi-electrode array probe.
• The MED64 probe allows users to stimulate and record samples using 64 planar microelectrodes in an 8 x 8 array embedded in the center of a transparent glass plate.
• Arrays are available in four different inter-electrode spacings; 100, 150, 300 and 450 µm enabling measurements of fine detail from small regions to larger scale interactions across regions.
• Each patented micro-electrode measures 50 µm x 50 µm - except for the 100 µm spacing configuration, with micro-electrodes measuring 20 µm x 20 µm, which yields a very low impedance (typically 10kΩ and 15kΩ respectively) critical to achieve a good signal to noise ratio.
• Probes come in 5 mm (for use with synchronized glass electrode recording) and 10 mm well heights.
Special arrangements are available with Hexagonal patterns (Electrode size: 20µm, inter-electrode spacing: 70 µm) and Hippocampal patterns (CA1, CA3, & DG, Electrode size 50 µm diameter, inter-electrode spacing: 150 µm).
