LUMIstar Omega - Flexible Luminometer for Measuring Flash and Glow Luminescence

The LUMIstar Omega is a compact and modular microplate luminescence reader that is designed for the widest possible range of applications based on luminescence labels including BRET assays. The LUMIstar Omega is also DLReady^TM certified from Promega.
Additional outstanding features of the LUMIstar Omega include top and bottom reading, incubation up to 45°C or 65°C, up to two “smart” reagent injectors, gas vent connection for atmosphere exchange inside the reader and well-established Reader Control and powerful MARS Data Analysis Software.

The LUMIstar Omega also offers the most flexible gas control system available in a microplate reader. The microprocessor controlled ACU (Atmospheric Control Unit), in combination with the Omega’s other features such as temperature control (up to 65°C) and shaking (orbital, double orbital and linear), can reproduce most physiological conditions making cell-based assays more biologically relevant. Independent O₂ and CO₂ regulation, together with continuous monitoring, provides a walk away assay solution for extended cell based experiments and much more.

The LUMIstar Omega is also upgradeable to both the FLUOstar Omega and POLARstar Omega. These upgrades have ultra-fast full UV/Vis spectrum absorbance and additional detection modes including fluorescence intensity, time-resolved fluorescence, TR-FRET, fluorescence polarization, Simultaneous Dual Emission detection and AlphaScreen^®.

The LUMIstar Omgea comes with a new version of BMG LABTECH’s established Omega Reader Control software and comprehensive Data Analysis Software, MARS. The highly intuitive software provides limitless possibilities for test set up where it is needed, but also offers a “Quick-Start” mode for running routine analysis with just 3 mouse clicks. Additionally, a Template Manager can be used for building complex data processing protocols and one click data analysis. Improved robotic integration capabilities, digital signature and FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliance complete this software package.
