The LM5000 Clamshell is designed to assemble a lateral flow assay comprised of multiple materials (typically a nitrocellulose membrane, a sample pad, a conjugate pad, and an absorbent pad) onto an adhesive backing material.
It contains top and bottom vacuum nests to hold strip materials in place and is operated manually. Standard or customized nest inserts are available and are easily interchangeable so that multiple assay designs can be laminated.
