"After 3 years of only low to moderate use (about one month's total use), the electronics that move the lens (not a stage controlled scope) failed and could not be repaired on site. The scope had to be shipped to another site (Germany I think) and took ~three months to get back."

Leica's Fluorescence Intensity Manager provides fast, accurate, and reproducible adjustment of the fluorescence illumination to effectively protect the specimen from photo bleaching and remembers the setting for each filter cube - for fast and absolutely reproducible results. The microscope is compatible with a variety of user-friendly software packages and camera systems to meet your research needs.
