  • Application Area:Enzyme Assays

"This is great for product substrate electrophoretic separation in enzyme inhibition assays. The sensitivity is not as good as the LC3000. The light source is weaker than the LC3000 too. It is a label-free assay. Plus the read time is about 25 to 45 min per 384 well plate."

  • Application Area:Assay Development and screening

"Lab chip reader covers new trends in enzyme targeted drug discovery where we can detect amount of substrate and product conversion with mobility shift assay. This technology covers prioritising the selective compounds in typical kinase inhibitors. In this amazing piece of equipment we can detect koff and kon rates specifically to choose the inhibitors to accelerate small molecules into next phase of drug discovery."

"Real time measurements allows faster assay development and better understanding of enzyme kinetics. However the chips are expensive and a sizeable chunk of work is needed to fully utilise a chip."

The Revvity LabChip® EZ Reader can help to save time and money in your laboratory by identifying the most promising lead candidates faster.

The mobility shift assay technology enables a large variety of enzymatic assays such as kinase profiling and mechanism of action (MOA) studies to characterize the most promising candidates identified in primary screening. Accelerate your hit to lead optimization with EZ Reader!

The system enables you to monitor enzyme reactions and kinase inhibitors over time for more usable data with fewer reagents. That means a lot less wasted time, effort, and money in the later stages of the drug discovery process.

LabChip® EZ Reader Features:

  • Run real-time kinetic assays fir truer understanding of enzyme activity over time
  • Automates sample analysis directly from 96- or 384-well plates
  • Flexible workflow allowing samples to be run a few at a time, or batched for high throughput
  • Automated exporting of results
  • Supports ProfilerPro kinase profiling kits
  • Multiple target classes including kinases, phosphatases, proteases, histome deacetylases, and phosphodieterase
