"ÄKTA™ start introduced by GE Healthcare is good system for protein purification. The method to perform a purification experiment is easy. Many columns like sephacryl s 100, Hiprep QFF etc. can be easily connected to perform an experiment. However one drawback is it low pressure operation (0.5 MPa). Many columns like Mono Q cannot be used with this system. I recommend this system for protein purification. "
